O'BROTHER release debut album ‘Garden Window’ through Triple Crown Records/Favorite Gentlemen (The Dear Hunter, Brand New, Kevin Devine...). For their debut album the band, who hail from Atlanta, teamed up with Manchester Orchestra’s Andy Hull and Robert McDowell on production duties and enlisted the talents of Mike Sapone (Brand New, Public Enemy, The Xcerts, Taking Back Sunday…) to mix. The result is a powerful and dynamic progressive rock record with haunting vocals that captures the band as they come into their own.
‘Garden Window’ shows how versatile O’Brother’s sound can be with progressive sounds that touch on Mastodon, Tool and the heavier side to Thrice (‘Machines, Pt. 1’, ‘Lay Down’, ‘Cleanse Me’…), lush melodies (‘Poison!’, ‘Easy Talk’…) and epic masterpieces ('Poison!', 'Cleanse Me'...). It’s these elements make O’Brother impossible to pin down to a specific genre but make for essential listening as you are eagar to hear what they will do next!
O’Brother have spent their recent existence honing their skills as musicians spending a lot of time on the road with a variety of artists including The Features, Manchester Orchestra, Cage the Elephant, Biffy Clyro, Circa Survive, The Dear Hunter, As Cities Burn and recently were invited to join Thrice on the majority of the band’s farewell tour.
The band will be supporting the release of ‘Garden Window’ by taking the Festival Republic stage at this year’s Reading and Leeds festivals. In addition the band has confirmed a one-off support with Saves The Day at King Tuts, Glasgow on the 26th August.
Friday 24th August - Reading Festival - Festival Republic Stage
