Sonic Boom Six - Rude Girl t-shirt for Selfridges/Primark

Fresh from a headlining set at Download Festival last week, Manchester genre-defying soundclash outfit Sonic Boom Six are excited to announce they have just struck a retail deal with Bravado/Universal Music to manufacture a range of t-shirts based on their "Rude Girl" character created by Si Mitchell.

The first of these t-shirts has been licensed to sell in Selfridges/Primark and all profits will be donated to Teenage Cancer Trust. The t-shirts will also be available in a select number of Primark stores in towns where there is a Teenage Cancer Trust unit. Laila Khan from Sonic Boom Six quoted "It's great to be able to help out an amazing charity such as Teenage Cancer Trust. We've felt the issues relating to cancer personally within our own fans and within our own families and we know only too well what great work the charity does".

Sonic Boom Six’s management company, Trashed Management have had a long standing relationship with the Teenage Cancer Trust and are thrilled to be able to continue this with this initiative.  The t-shirts are a limited edition and only available in select stores.

Sonic Boom Six will be playing The Lock Up Stage at this year’s Reading and Leeds Festival – Saturday at Reading and Sunday at Leeds.

Teenage Cancer Trust is a registered charity: 1062559 (England & Wales); SC039757 (Scotland)

Larry and His Flask have just returned home to America to embark on a lengthy tour Stateside, criss-crossing the country. It coincides with the release of their outstanding sophomore album ‘By The Lamplight’ out on 24th June 2013 through Xtra Mile Recordings (UK and Europe) and 25th June 2013 on Silver Sprocket (USA).

For the uninitiated, Larry and His Flask make music that lies somewhere between a barn raising and a mosh pit. The New York Times calls them "uncommonly joyous" and "deviously astute", while their live show is a "breathless, polymorphous good time." Originally conceived as a four piece punk band, the group has swelled into a fully realized line-up with strong Americana influences complete with stand-up bass, mandolin and banjo. Their live act is not to be missed - unlike any other band playing music today, Larry and His Flask truly incorporate their audiences into each show, connecting to create an experience that converts everyone into fans and permeates the border between performer and spectator.  Performances see members careening wildly across the stage with instruments, narrowly avoiding harrowing collisions amongst themselves and frequently trading said instruments mid-song while still maintaining pitch-perfect 4-part harmonies.

Click here for a taster of their live antics – filmed at their recent London Forum show:

Larry and His Flask isJamin Marshall (drums, vocals), Jesse Marshall (bass), Ian Cook (vocals, guitar), DallinBulkley (guitar) and Andrew Carew (banjo) and Kirk Skatvold (mandolin).
