Skinny Lister’s incredible year continues apace with the release of the festively atmospheric single ‘Six Whiskies’ out 27th November 2015.

Taking us on tour around London, the song’s lyrics convey that sweet feeling of fuzziness after a few drinks with friends as you stumble out of your favourite pub with nothing else to do except roam the streets singing your heart out.
Frontman Daniel Heptinstall explains further: “The song is a declaration of love for the city in which me and the rest of the band spent many years. A virtual walk through the dirty city streets with its rich array of sights, sounds and characters. As well as many North London references, the song name-checks Deptford where many of the band lived for many years, and where we first got together as friends, and as a band. Six Whiskies has turned out to be a great live boozy sing-along favourite.”

The band have been spreading their infectious and rousing anthems all across UK and Europe at summer festivals as well as across the USA supporting Frank Turner. They return to our shores once again with Frank to support him on his huge UK Tour throughout November.

‘Down On Deptford Broadway’ was released in April to rapturous acclaim. The Guardian hosted an exclusive stream of the album on their website week before release and declared: “it packs enough punch to steamroll a saloon brawl.”The album features previous singles ‘What Can I Say?’, ‘Cathy’ and ‘Trouble On Oxford Street’ which garnered support from Steve Lamacq on 6Music and John Kennedy on XFM.

This year already they have supported Frank Turner in the UK and at SXSW, supported Chuck Ragan throughout UK and Europe before heading out on their own headline tour in the UK throughout April and May.

From day one, Skinny Lister set out to cause chaos and make friends, travelling to the four corners of the globe plying their unique rum-soaked blend of English folk and punk rock anarchy. Wherever they play their lusty shanties, punk folk roar-alongs and crazed whirls of love, fighting and hardcore drinking – you’ll find them out dancing with the crowd, passing around their flagon of rum or crowd-surfing to the bar to neck shots mid-song. Make no bones – Skinny Lister are the wildest party band you’ll ever get drunk with. And you will get drunk with them.
