European and UK summer tour June / July 2015

“heart-on-sleeve lyrics and groove-laden hooks” Rocksound
“Bond’s ability to create and convey stories that are by turns enticingly exotic and intimately relatable.” There Goes The Fear

Following the release of his incredible album Where Were You?, PJ Bond is coming to Europe and the UK for a huge string of dates throughout the summer in June and July 2015. Tour dates are all below with more to be confirmed.

PJ Bond has been compared to Elliott Smith, Micah P Hinson, and Wilco, while his new album reveals all the bombast and ambition of someone who has listened to a fair amount of Dylan or Springsteen, and dreamed. You can buy on CD or download from Amazon, and Google Play. It is also available on vinyl in 4 different colours – maroon, yellow, navy and mint green. The yellow and mint green versions are exclusive for the Xtra Mile Recordings store, the latter featuring hand-painted artwork by PJ digitally printed for the sleeve. To purchase these exclusive vinyl or the album on CD and digital visit the Xtra Mile Recordings shop here.  All other vinyl colours are available at various participating retailers.

He's spent years travelling and playing to everyone he could, essentially homeless, while recording a heap of songs including for the breakout solo release You Didn't Know I Was Alphabetical.

Talking about signing with Xtra Mile Recordings, PJ said:
“Xtra Mile is one of the rare labels where it seems that they put out music that they truly believe in, and are not so much constrained by genre that they'll question whether or not it is a 'good idea'. This approach by clearly music-loving people is what drew me most to XMR, and was supported by everyone with whom I spoke about them. Honesty, respect, heart, these are the common threads. All in all, I think I've found a lovely home.” / Twitter @pjbondmusic /

UK Tour May/June
Following recent successful tours supporting Möngöl Hörde and InMe plus summer festival appearances at Download, Hevy and 2000Trees, Bristol's Oxygen Thief returns with a run of solo dates across the UK.

These days often playing as part of a heavy three-piece setup, this latest string of intimate dates sees OT return to the solo acoustic rock show which originally made him his name. One man, one guitar and a few exuberant effects pedals, expect loud songs about the attempted redevelopment of Aberystwyth and some other loud songs which aren't about that, delivered with tongue often planted firmly in cheek, and the occasional human pyramid.

OT's first full-band album The Half Life Of Facts was released last year on London's Xtra Mile Recordings (Frank Turner/To Kill A King/Against Me!), the highlight of which 'Hubristolian' is punchy punk rock, dusted with sugar and slammed into your face like a great custard pie.

Oxygen Thief is scheduled to melt your face on the following dates:
16th BRIGHTON Alternative Great Escape @ Pav Tav
30th LONDON Camden Rocks – full band show!
2nd   FROME Cheese & Grain ^
4th MANCHESTER Star & Garter *
6th BRADFORD 1 In 12 *
7th GLASGOW Broadcast *
9th BRISTOL Stag & Hounds *^
10th LONDON Old Blue Last

* w/Mark McCabe
^ w/Warren Mallia (The Attika State/Grand Pop)

“Face-melting... KKKK” - Kerrang!

“A full-throttle assault on the senses” - Rock Sound

“Acoustic guitar played with such ferocity it takes the top of your head off” - Tom Robinson, BBC 6Music

Latest album The Half Life Of Facts is out now on Xtra Mile Recordings. //
